Running does not do anything good
Running does not do anything good for anyone. If anything it keeps you a drunkard for longer than you need to be. Conditions in an alcohol treatment center might be stringent, but its all for the greater good. Once you have dumped the drinking, you can at least get on with your life. If you have not stayed sober for up to ten years after your last stint in an alcohol treatment center, you have no reason to celebrate yet. Statistics show that a lot of people fall back to drinking after that, if they have not totally giving up on drinking by then. You dont have to be a drunk to be in rehab. You might be something worse, like an addict to crack or some other narcotic; or you could be better, just a person who needs a change of environment and wanted to be somewhere different. Curing alcoholism is not about how much time you have spent in an alcohol treatment center, or how little. The cure is about how serious you are about not going back to the habit. It might seem an easy thing to say but there is evidence that people dont look too far into the future before they commit. We are talking of years, decades of sobriety. If you know you can do this, then go for it. Fighting and arguments are strictly prohibited on the grounds of an alcohol treatment center. Be it a hostel where people can lodge overnight or just a location that you are meant to visit from time to time, fighting is considered counterproductive and seriously discouraged. If you fall afoul of this you might be sent off and ordered not to return.
